The Jacksonville Jaguars enter Week 13 with a 7-4 record and will need to trounce the rival Tennessee Titans if they want to keep in the thick of the playoff race. And while the weather may not be great, they'll have a few things going in their favor.
For starters, the Jags are getting hot at the right time. They've won three of their last four games and showed resilience when they overcame the Arizona Cardinals last week to win 27-24 in overtime. Moreover, Jacksonville will have three players back for the Tennessee matchup.
Brian Thomas Jr. will suit up for the Jaguars, Travon Walker will be out vs. the Titans
After getting the limited designation Wednesday, Brian Thomas Jr. was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Against the Titans, he didn't get a label, so he'll be available. Similarly, right tackle Anton Harrison (knee/ankle) and cornerback Jourdan Lewis (neck) are full-go.
On the other hand, Travon Walker (knee), right guard Patrick Mekari (concussion), and offensive lineman Chuma Edoga (calf)and safety Eric Murray (neck) have been ruled out. Meanwhile, players such as linebacker Yasir Abdullah (finger), Antonio Johnson (elbow), and Danny Striggow (knee) didn't get a questionable designation for Week 13. They will all be available.

It's worth noting that Murray's 21-day window to practice has been open, but he officially remains on Injured Reserve. That means that Antonio Johnson will remain in the starting lineup for at least another week. On the other hand, Cole Van Lanen will probably get the start at right guard, while the Jags will try to use an aggregate of Striggow, B.J. Green II, and Dawuane Smoot to replace Walker.
The Jaguars are getting reinforcements at the perfect time
The Jaguars would surely want to have Travon Walker for the Titans game. On the other hand, having right tackle Anton Harrison, Jourdan Lewis, and Brian Thomas Jr. back in the fold is also huge. Speaking to reporters Friday, head coach Liam said that having players back from injury at this point in the season can provide a spark.
"You know, it's like two steps forward, one and down at this time. It's just the way it goes, right?" Coen told the local media (10:02 mark). "Guys, like, at the end of the season, nobody's gonna feel great. But the guys, I would agree to your point, the guys that are coming back from not playing, you would think that they'd be able to provide a little bit of a spark, just in terms of the way they feel and the way that they can maybe go out and provide, whether it's energy."
Coen continued, "Whether it's just bouncing around out there and playmaking that is extremely important down the stretch. And as we head into December football, so but you're you're in the rest of the roster and the guys that have been playing, you're not feeling like you did in Week 2 or 3 by any means."
The bottom line is that the Jaguars are in control of their playoff destiny, and they have enough players to keep it that way when they face the Titans.
