1. The Jaguars can’t underestimate Titans QB Joshua Dobbs in Week 18

The Titans’ biggest X-Factor entering the game is quarterback Joshua Dobbs, who will be making his second career start. The former Tennessee standout went 20-of-39 for 232 yards with one touchdown. While these aren’t impressive numbers, they weren’t horrible either and he should have a better grasp of the Titans’ offense in Week 18, which could lead to a more productive outing in the finale.

Even though stopping Derrick Henry will be the defense focus, Doug Pederson told the media they must account for the Titans’ passing game.

“Let’s say you’re gonna gang up and try to stop the run well, you’re gonna give something up as well, Pederson said. “And some of those times can be the quarterback, so what are you going to try to take away or what are you going to least be consistent in, as you play this football game?”

Dobbs has thrown 56 career passes and he will be a steep dropoff from Ryan Tannehill, who is currently on Injured Reserve with an ankle injury. Nevertheless, the Jaguars lost Davis Mills, Taylor Heinicke, and Matt Ryan earlier this season, and all of them have been benched, so it’s not outrageous to suggest Dobbs could give them fits.

The Jaguars have come a long way in 2022 and it would be heartbreaking to see Dobbs knocking them out of playoff contention and putting their season to an end.
