2. The Jaguars front seven will sack Derek Carr 4 times in Week 9

The Jaguars’ defense has had a rough stretch in the last four or five weeks and it’s not just the lack of takeaways. Opposing teams had no trouble running the ball or gaining yards in chunks. Moreover, their front seven has pressured opposing quarterbacks at a high rate but can’t finish the job.

While sacks aren’t the only way to measure a pass rusher’s success, they can kill drives or momentum, so you want to rack up as many as you can. The Jags have 14 sacks this season which is one of the lowest figures in the league. On the bright side, they had three against the Broncos in Week 8 and they should have a feast against a Raiders’ offensive line that has given up 17 quarterback takedowns in 2022.

1. Jaguars RB Travis Etienne will go over 100 yards, 2 TDs vs. the Raiders

This might be the most intriguing prediction of the week. Jacksonville drafted Travis Etienne with the 25th overall pick in last year’s draft because of his big-play ability and he’s gone on to demostrate why it was a good call.

Although the former Clemson Tiger had only 13 carries in the first two games of the season, he’s toted the rock 79 times for 504 yards with two touchdowns in the last six weeks. He had a career day against the Broncos in Week 8, racking up 24 carries for 156 yards and a trip to the end zone.

Etienne will have his third consecutive 100-yard game of the year against Las Vegas and will register the first two-touchdown outing of his career.
