The Jaguars can win a vulnerable AFC South in 2022

The Jaguar’s 2-2 record and position at the top of the AFC South is more than most people anticipated for the rebuilding franchise. Doug Pederson himself said it would not be a quick fix when he took the job. It is safe to say that the team and coaches will learn from this loss and look to continue their lead in the AFC South with their upcoming matches against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.

The 2022 Jaguars are still a much-improved team with a real shot at the playoffs. Currently, the AFC South is the worse division in football. The Tennessee Titans are not the same team they have been the last few years and have some key players out with injuries. Indianapolis has a talented roster, but they are still figuring out how to put it all together. And Houston is yet to win a game.

Although Lawrence’s Week 4 performance was far from ideal there is no sense of panic amongst the team and coaches. The organization knows what type of talent they have in their young quarterback and that the road to success is always paved with adversity. In the words of Jamal Agnew, “We’re riding with 16 until the wheels fall off”.

This loss definitely stings but there is a lot that the players and coaches will gain from it as they look to bounce back quickly and continue their reign atop the AFC South.
