Jaguars No. 2 fantasy option in 2022 – Evan Engram, TE.

Evan Engram was a big free agency pickup for the Jaguars this offseason. The tight end produced 46 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns in 2021 for the New York Giants. He has exceeded 40 receptions each year in the league and hauled in over 60 receptions in both 2017 and 2020.

The former New York Giant has been a consistent producer since entering the league in 2017. He saw his most productive year his rookie season when Eli Manning was still the quarterback, catching 64 passes for 722 yards and six touchdowns.

The Giants quarterback play dropped off considerably after the Eli Manning era ended. New York has struggled to get things going under its last few coaches and Daniel Jones’s tenure. Engram could very well thrive under a new offensive system and catching passes from Lawrence.

With Doug Pederson’s tight end friendly offense and Lawrence at quarterback, Engram looks to revive his career and contribute heavily to the Jags passing game. Pederson had a lot of success with his past tight ends in Philadelphia, Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. He may look to use Engram and Arnold in a similar fashion.

Engram appears set to break out in his new environment where he instantly becomes the Jaguars top option as a pass catching tight end. His athleticism and solid hands should serve him well as he looks to establish a rapport with his new quarterback.
