The Jaguars must end the 2022 NFL Draft strong.

The Jaguars have done a pretty good job of addressing pretty much all their needs this offseason. They had a pretty successful free-agency haul and they will walk away from the draft with playmakers. While it’s hard to see Jacksonville making the playoffs in head coach Doug Pederson’s first season on the job, they should be considerably better in 2022.

Keep in mind that the Jaguars face plenty of backlash for keeping general manager Trent Baalke. But instead of sending him packing along with Urban Meyer, owner Shad Khan chose to keep him around. While it may be too early to tell whether Khan made the right decision, fans should be pleased with the work Baalke’s done in this year’s draft.

There are still four rounds left in the selection meeting and although it’s unlikely that the Jags will find a handful of future Pro Bowlers with their remaining six picks, they must find a few players that can provide depth or contribute on special teams. After all, an NFL roster is made of 53 players, and the Jags must get their hands on as much talent as possible.

So now that the Jaguars have taken care of most roster holes, they should be able to add another running back, maybe a developmental prospect at guard and depth at cornerback, safety, and maybe even a quarterback that can be groomed to replace C.J. Beatharrd in case he departs from Jacksonville in free agency.
