No. 4 free agent the Jaguars can sign to fill a need – Chandler Jones, OLB.

While Jacksonville could take Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson with the first overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, they could also add an edge defender in free agency.  After all, edge rusher is one of the few positions that fill feature plenty of star power in free agency, even after the Tennesse Titans gave outside linebacker Harold Landry a five-year deal worth $87.5 million.

At the top of the class will be Chandler Jones and Von Miller. However, there will be other options including Jadeveon Clowney and Emmanuel Ogbah. All things considered, all these pass rushers could come in and bolster a Jaguars’ defense that logged 32 sacks last season.

A first-round pick by the New England Patriots in 2012, Jones was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2016. He went on to have a productive six-year in the desert, amassing 71.5 sacks, 131 quarterback hits, 262 tackles for a loss, and 23 forced fumbles.

Even though Jones says money won’t be his biggest priority when looking for a new club, the Jaguars need to be ready to outbid other teams if they want to secure the services of the two-time First-Team All-Pro outside linebacker.

Other players that deserve consideration – Jadeveon Clowney, Von Miller, Emmanuel Ogbah.
