The Jaguars can pick up another tackle in the third round.

Let’s say no trades are executed in the draft. The Jaguars could pick up a wide receiver in the second round and use one or both of their third-round picks on a deep offensive lineman class. Some of the highest graded tackles in pass protection will be available at that time. One prospect that could be had during that stretch of the draft could be Jamaree Salyer, the offensive tackle from Georgia.

The former Bulldog has a lot of upside, standing at six-foot-four and weighing in at 325 pounds. His pass blocking is currently graded at 86.8 by Pro Football Focus, so he’d be coming into the NFL with a solid foundation to work on. On top of excelling at pass blocking, Salyer’s sheer power and strength are natural pluses that can be maximized as a pro. All throughout his playing career, you can see his hands on full display as well. He showcased an ability to level incoming defenders without breaking much of a sweat.

Drafting some youth certainly helps you build for the future. By the same token, the Jags could be looking at rebuilding their offensive line much quicker if this is the approach they want to take.
