Here are 3 duds from the Jaguars’ loss to the Jets in Week 16.

1. Andrew Wingard, safety.

Safety Andrew Wingard has missed several tackles throughout the season and Week 16 was no exception. He missed two tackles, one of them during Zach Wilson’s ridiculous 52-yard touchdown run.

Wingard wasn’t the only Jaguars’ defender that struggled against the run. The Jets amassed 273 rushing yards and there are other players that could have stopped Wilson but when he needed to make a play, he didn’t.

2. Laquon Treadwell, wide receiver.

Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell hauled in four receptions for 54 yards against the Jets. However, he also couldn’t come down with a 55-yard grab late in the first quarter that would have given the Jaguars a touchdown.

Treadwell made up for it not long after with a 20-yards reception on fourth-and-1 to move the chains. The Jags ended up scoring in that drive but he should still have made the catch early.

3. K’Lavon Chaisson, outside linebacker.

The Jaguars’ coaching staff switched K’Lavon Chaisson from defensive end to outside linebacker this offseason but the move hasn’t paid off. Although the former LSU Tiger has more tackles than last year, he hasn’t made many big plays in 2021.

Against the Jets, Chaisson seemed to have slowed down while pursuing Zach Wilson during his beast-mode run. He lasted exited the game with an ankle injury. All in all, he posted two total tackles and a subpar Pro Football Focus grade of 38.7. The team’s brass needs to evaluate his performance in the offseason and try to figure out what’s holding him back.
