Jaguars player that must product vs. Bills No. 5 – QB Trevor Lawrence

In spite of the Jaguars’ 1-6 record, quarterback Trevor Lawrence has given everyone in Duval a reason for optimism. He’s shown promise throughout his rookie campaign and has checked all the boxes. He’s shown he can make all kinds of throws, pinpoint accuracy, and the ability to use his legs when needed. Also, his decision-making has improved as the season has progressed. Basically, he’s grown and is showing he may be the long-term answer at the position.

However, no process is linear and Lawrence took a step back in his development against the Seahawks, having arguably his worst game of the season since the season opener. Some of his passes were off target and were inaccurate. The loss wasn’t solely on him but he showed he has room for improvement.

It’s not surprising that Lawrence struggled against the Seahawks. This was bound to happen at one point or another. If anything, it’s a good thing the former Clemson Tiger sees the loss as part of his learning process. He’s proven he can bounce back from bad performance and this should be no different. One bad game won’t define the young quarterback and should perform better against the Bills in Week 9.
