Seahawks players the Jaguars must keep in check No. 4- DK Metcalf, WR

NFL scouts dropped the ball in DK Metcalf back in 2019. Why did he slide to the end of the second round in spite of his elite athleticism and size? Maybe he was too good to be true but regardless of the reason, the Seahawks took a flyer on him and it paid off big time.

Even without Rusell Wilson, Metcalf is still playing at a high level, hauling in 33 receptions for 537 yards and six trips to the end zone. Against the New Orleans Saints, he caught just two passes but one of them was an 84-yard touchdown reception.

Don’t be surprised if Metcalf earns the first All-Pro designation of his career in 2021. If the Jaguars find a way to slow him down, their chances of winning the game will increase.

Seahawks players the Jaguars must keep in check No. 5 – Geno Smith, QB

Shaquill Griffin is right when he says Geno Smith must be doing something right for him to last as long as he has in the NFL. The 2013 second-round pick never became a franchise quarterback but he’s carved a niche as a backup in the NFL and occasional starter.

Smith has been serviceable in Russell Wilson’s place, going 45-of-71 for 507 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. He’s averaging a solid 7.1 per attempt and could torch the Jaguars’ secondary if given the chance. The Virginia Tech product doesn’t have to be as great as Wilson to help Seattle win the game. He just has to get Locket and Metcalf the ball and limit the number of turnovers.
