Jacksonville Jaguars trade target No. 3 – LB Cory Littleton

Myles Jack is one of the best players on the Jaguars’ defense. However, their linebacker corps could use a boost. Chapelle Russell and Josh Allen were responsible for one of the most important plays in Jacksonville’s win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 6.

On the other hand, the Jaguars’ linebackers have been routinely beaten in coverage. Damian Wilson is a good run stopper and Jack is the heart and soul of the defense. However, they need a linebacker that can cover. That’s why they should target Cory Littleton, who is currently on the Las Vegas Raiders roster.

After going undrafted in 2016, Littleton signed with the Los Angeles Rams. The Washington product worked his way up the depth chart and joined the starting lineup in 2018. That year, he posted a Pro Football Focus coverage grade of 84.6. He was even better the following season and earned a monster 91.6 mark. Moreover, he missed just 10 tackles and logged five interceptions in his last two seasons in LA.

However, Littleton has looked out of place since joining the Silver and Black back last year. Their defensive scheme doesn’t suit him and could benefit from a change of scenery. The linebacker has started every single game this season but the Raiders linebacker unit is pretty stacked. They could move either Denzel Perryman or Nick Kwiatkoski to his spot if they traded him.

Also, Javin White started the year on the injured reserve list but should return soon. Last but not least, the Raiders have rookie Devine Diable waiting under the wing, so trading Littleton would allow them to see what they have in him.
