The Jaguars signed offensive lineman Austen Pleasants as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and brought him back on a Reseve/Future contract earlier this year. The Ohio University product hasn’t registered a snap in the regular season and the Week 3 matchup versus the Cowboys may be his last game with the Black and Teal.

The former Bobcat has appeared in both preseason games this year, logging 64 total snaps. Against the Cleveland Browns, he posted a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 70.4 on 16 offensive snaps. However, he struggled in Week 2, earning a PFF grade of 49.3 in 48 snaps, tied for the second-most among offensive players.

Pleasants will need to really show out in Week 3, as the Jaguars’ offensive line depth chart may already be set. The Jaguars brought back all their starters from last season. Interior offensive lineman Ben Bartch, rookie offensive tackle Walker Little, veteran Tyler Shatley, and offensive tackle Will Richardson will probably take the other four spots. If the Jaguars choose to carry ten linemen, Pleasants could make the team but it’s a long shot.

Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms is also competing for a roster spot but it’s unlikely that either player will get it. Just like most players on this list, he will be a candidate to join the practice squad after the final round of cuts. The fact he’s made it this far after going undrafted is worth recognizing but this could be the end of the road for the Pleasants.
