Jacksonville Jaguars trade target No. 1 – LB Micah Kiser

How much is James Robinson worth? He’s a top 15 running back and is barely entering the second year of his rookie contract. Last season, he carried the ball 240 times for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns. He also hauled in  49 receptions for 344 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Although the former Redbird missed the last two games of the season with an ankle injury, he had a league-high 86 percent of the Jaguars’ total carries last season. His production, along with his deal makes him a potential trade candidate.

Now, it would be unreasonable to trade Robinson for someone like All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald but there are other players on the Rams roster that the Jags could be interested in. For example, they could inquire about linebacker Micah Kiser. The 2018 fifth-round pick saw joined Los Angeles’ starting lineup in 2020 after being a role player the previous two seasons.

Even though Kiser suffered two separate injuries last season, he started nine games and logged 77 total tackles, one forced fumble, and three passes defensed. Although durability may be an issue, the Virginia product was one of the Rams’ best defenders in 2020. Moreover, they may already have Kiser’s replacement in Troy Reeder, who has appeared in 32 games with 15 starts over the last two seasons.

The Jaguars don’t have an immediate need at linebacker but Kiser could give a boost to a group that already includes Joe Schobert, Damien Wilson, and Myles Jack.
