2. Laviska Shenault Jr. – wide receiver – Jacksonville Jaguars

Wide receiver was one of the Jaguars’ few bright spots last season and it looks like the unit will again be a strength in 2021. DJ Chark will have a strong chance of making the second Pro Bowl of his young career now that quarterback Trevor Lawrence is at the helm. Jacksonville also signed Marvin Jones Jr. and Phillip Dorsett this offseason. Also, Collin Johnson has been getting plenty of hype this offseason and has even been endorsed by legend Jimmy Smith.

It would be difficult to stand out for most receivers in such a crowded room but Laviska Shenault Jr. has done precisely that. He’s been having a great offseason and doesn’t look fazed by all the competition at the position. Also, he’s been getting plenty of praise. Nate Burleson of Good Morning Football put Viska at the top of his top 5 breakout wide receivers for 2021 and Tommy Garrett of Pro Football Network believes he will be one of the top 9 performers in fantasy football this upcoming season.

When the Jags drafted Travis Etienne and signed Jones, it looked like Shenault’s role on offense would decrease. That no longer seems to be the case. The Colorado product has been working hard this offseason and has focused on the things he can control. The Jaguars may end up having a “burden of choice” kind of situation by the start of the 2021 season. There may not be enough targets for everyone but Shenault is making the case to get as many as possible.
