The Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receivers could decide this matchup.

Just like every other year, the Jaguars will play the Tennesee Titans twice in 2021. However, their lineup will stay the same in both games. You might’ve previously read that the Titans will be one of the Jags’ toughest foes this upcoming season, and that still remains the case.

Led by quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the Titans’ offense could wear the Jags’ defense down. On the other side of the ball, Jacksonville has the better matchup. Tennessee drafted Caleb Farely 22nd overall in this year’s selection meeting. The Virginia Tech product should be fully recovered from the back surgery he underwent early this year.

Nevertheless, the Titans’ secondary is a few players away from being a solid unit. Tennesse signed Janoris Jenkins his offseason but he is no longer the ballhawk he was early in his career. Cornerback Kevin Johnson also landed in Tennessee this offseason but his presence won’t move the needle. Safety Kevin Byard is still on the roster but his play has dropped considerably since earning an All-Pro designation in 2017.

The Titans’ offense will try to kill the clock and leave the Jaguars’ offense on the sidelines for as long as they can. Jacksonville’s defense will have to rise to the occasion and force a few turnovers, so the offense can torch Tennesse’s back seven. The Titans swept the Jags last year but there’s a chance they spit the series in 2021.
