Caleb Farley will test the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver corps.

The Jaguars drafted Tyson Campbell with the first pick in the second round of this year’s draft. However, they weren’t the only team in the AFC South to add a top cornerback prospect. In fact, the Titans took Caleb Farley with the 22nd overall selection, 11 spots earlier.

Farley was arguably the best cornerback in the draft from an athletic standpoint. He claims that he ran a 4.25 40-yard dash in high school but had to say it was just 4.35 because nobody would believe him. It doesn’t matter if this is true or not because he put that speed on display at Virginia Tech. He could keep up with any wide receiver at the college level and will most likely be able to do the same in the pros.

You may be wondering why Farley was drafted in the second half of the first round if he’s so good. The answer is that he underwent back surgery back in March and needed to rehab for four months. The former Hoki told Peter King of NBC Sports that NFL doctors gave him positive feedback and said he would be ready for the 2021 season. Moreover, this won’t be a chronic issue.

Although Farley needs to work on his tackling, he could develop into one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL. The Jags had a well-rounded wide receiver corps last year and looks like a top 15 unit this yea. Farley will put the unit to test in Weeks 5 and 14.
