So far, the Jacksonville Jaguars have made the right moves this offseason.

The Jaguars were 1-15 last year. On the bright side, they have made major changes to the front office, coaching staff, and the team looks in better shape than it did at the end of the 2020 season. Also, Jacksonville will be able to keep adding talent in the draft, so the talent cupboard won’t be bare.

The Jaguars signed Marvin Jones Jr. to round out their wide receiver corps. They also brought in Carlos Hyde to back up James Robinson and fortified their running back room. On the other hand, the offensive line could use some help. The team’s brass placed the franchise tag on Cam Robinson and re-signed Tyler Shatley but the unit needs to perform better than last season.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jags bolstered all position groups. Although they refrain from signing big-name free agents in free agency, the defense looks better but just like the offense, it would benefit from an infusion of playmakers in the draft. They could surely use another safety or an EDGE rusher to complement Josh Allen and K’Lavon Chaisson.

It’s hard to tell how good the Jaguars are after all the offseason additions, but they will definitely be better than the team that lost 16 consecutive games last season, so surrounding Lawrence with talent won’t be an issue.
