The Jacksonville Jaguars also need to add a defensive tackle.

The Jaguars had a hard time stopping opposing offenses from scoring last season and their inability to control the line of scrimmage played a big factor. Defensive tackles DaVon Hamilton and Doug Costin displayed flashes of talent in their rookie campaigns and they should keep getting better in 2021.

However, the Jaguars still need to add one or two defensive tackles in the draft. They could target Alabama’s Christian Barmore with the 25th overall pick, but if they prefer to wait and draft one later in the process, Maron Tuipulotu would be a solid pickup in the third round. The Oregon native had a solid Senior Bowl week and was a force for the Trojans during his tenure at USC.

In the last three years, Tuipulotu logged 104 tackles (15 for a loss), 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He excels against the run but has the potential to become a solid pass rusher in the pros. Due to the presence of Hamilton and Costin, the USC product wouldn’t have to start right out of the game. Instead, he could join the Jaguars’ defensive line rotation and slowly make his way up.
