The Jacksonville Jaguars need to add depth to their defensive line.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are projected to have $73.36 million in cap space this offseason, so they can target pretty much any free they please. However, not all their signings can be of the big-splash variety and they will have to add players that may not be Pro Bowlers but can be solid contributors.

Jacksonville needs to add depth to their cornerback room. C.J. Henderson missed the second half of the season with a groin injury but should claim back his starting stop once he’s healthy. However, it’s uncertain who’s going to start opposite of the Florida standout, as Sidney Jones, D.J. Hayden, and Greg Mabin are set to become free agents.

While ‘Jags’ could bring back one or even two of their free-agent cornerbacks, they should also target former first-round pick Vernon Hargreaves III. The Texans acquired the cornerback off waivers in 2019, then released him last offseason and signed him once again before the 2020 season started.

Hargreaves was solid this past year, logging 72 total tackles, seven pass deflections, and one interception. Also, he started all 16 games, something not many Jaguars were able to do this past season. The sixth-year veteran has missed just two games in the last three years and can provide depth at an affordable price.
