The Jacksonville Jaguars need to upgrade their left tackle position.

Left tackle Cam Robinson is set to become a free agent this upcoming offseason. The team’s brass could decide to re-sign him, but doing so may require them to make a big financial investment in the Alabama standout.

Robinson hasn’t played at a high level in 2020, but it won’t matter as even average left tackle tend to cash in in free agency due to the scarcity at the position. This Jacksonville team could let him these the market and use the opportunity to draft a young left tackle with plenty of upside.

Liam Eichenberg has is expected to get drafted in the first round of next year’s draft and the Jaguars could use their additional first-round selection, the one they got from the Los Angeles Rams when they traded cornerback Jalen Ramsey, on the Notre Dame left tackle.

This will be a deep left tackle class, so Jacksonville could use that second first-round selection to draft reinforcements on defense and draft one in the second round. If that’s the path they want to take, they should also keep an eye on Alabama’s Alex Leatherwood, who will also play in the Rose Bowl.
