These two Bears could make the difference versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Early in his NFL career, Mario Edwards looked like a bust or on his way to becoming one. Originally drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2015, the former second-round selection amassed a paltry 5.5 sacks and one forced fumbles in his first three seasons before he was released.

Even though he hasn’t become a force at the line of scrimmage, Edwards has carved a nice niche as a role player in the last three seasons and has recorded four sacks in 2020. He hasn’t started a game this season, but the fact he’s having an impact on limited snaps is worth monitoring.

Roquan Smith, linebacker. 7. player. 57. . .

Roquan Smith was the highest-ranked linebacker in 2018’s draft class. Although hasn’t played at an All-Pro level just yet, he’s been one of the Bears’ most reliable players in the last three season. This year, he’s performed at a high level and registered 128 total tackles, four sacks, five pass deflections, and one forced fumble. In fact, there’s a belief he should’ve gotten Pro Bowl honors in 2020.

Pro Bowl or not, Smith is one of Chicago’s best players and the Jaguars will have to account for him on every play if they want to get things going on offense in Week 16.
