10. player. 52. . . . Greg Mabin, cornerback

The Jacksonville Jaguars corners will take on a surging Mitch Trubisky.

Rookie cornerback Luc Barcoo made his first start of the season in Week 12 and later played on 76 percent of the team’s total snaps on defense in the following game, so at the time, it would’ve been safe to assume he was about to see his playing time increase.

Instead, Barcoo has been a healthy scratch the last two weeks and Greg Mabin has had a bigger role. The four-year corner has allowed six completions and two touchdowns on 11 targets this season. He played on all defensive snaps last week and could repeat the feat against Chicago.

9. player. 52. . . . Tre Herndon, cornerback

Jaguars cornerback, Tre Herndon, has had an uneven season. He’s dressed up for all games this season and started 10 of them. In that span, he’s allowed 47 passes on 65 targets for 577 yards and four touchdowns. Moreover, he’s giving up 12.3 yards per reception.

Meanwhile, he’s logged 66 total tackles and five passes defensed. The defense isn’t generating enough pass rush upfront, which forces cornerbacks to hold coverages longer. Nevertheless, Herndon hasn’t allowed less than than 50 percent of the passes thrown his way.
