6 best Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers during Caldwell era
Wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. isn’t having a great season in 2020, but his lack of production isn’t a reflection of the work and effort he’s putting in. He currently has 45 receptions for 591 yards and four touchdowns after hauling in 73 catches for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019.
Chark’s numbers this season has been affected by the team’s inefficiency at the quarterback position, but if the Jaguars can find some consistency next year, his production should go up. Heading into the offseason, the organization will have to decide whether they will re-sign Chark.
During his eight-year tenure with the ‘Jags’, David Caldwell found some undrafted gems. In 2020, he brought in star running back James Robinson, and in 2017 he brought in wide receiver Keelan Cole. The Kentucky Wesleyan standout hauled in 42 receptions for 748 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season.
In 47 games with the ‘Black and Teal’, he’s caught 151 passes for2,171 yards and 17 touchdowns. Cole is set to become a free agent after the 2020 season and has already expressed his desire to stay with the team.
