52. . . . Leonard Fournette. 2. player

These are the Jacksonville Jaguars’ two best Rbs in the last eight years.

Back in 2017, the Jaguars made the head-scratching decision of drafting Leonard Fournette. While the LSU running back was a fine player, this Jacksonville team left All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, cornerback Marshon Lattimore and quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson on the board.

At the time, Blake Bortles was their starting quarterback and wanted to build a team around him, so getting a running back made a little bit of sense at least in theory. However, Fournette wasn’t even the best running back of the 2017 draft class and could’ve waited for one or two rounds to take a stud such as Joe Mixon or Alvin Kamara. All in all, Fournette lasted three years in Jacksonville and amassed 666 carries for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns.

. . . James Robinson. 1. player. 52

There was no other possible choice for the top spot, James Robinson is bar-none the best running back the Jaguars acquired during David Caldwell’s tenure as a general manager. Looking back, we could see him as a parting gift of sorts, as the upcoming regime will have their workhorse running back.

The Illinois Standout is already among the best players at the position and is third in rushing yards heading into Week 14. Moreover, he’s got a strong case to earn the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and Pro Bowl nod.
