. . . Chase McLaughlin, kicker. 1. player. 52

These three Jacksonville Jaguars played a role in the team’s loss.

The loss isn’t on Chase McLaughlin. The Jaguars’ offense and the defense failed to execute and put the ‘Vikes’ away. However, the kicker was part of the problem, as he failed a field goal and an extra point. Those four points could’ve helped the team win their second game of the year.

In retrospect, it was kind of surprising to see McLaughlin falter as he had converted his three previous field-goal attempts with the Jaguars in the last two games he played.

player. 52. . . . Chris Conley, wide receiver. 2

Wide receiver Chris Conley has been solid for the Jaguars in 2020. All in all, the Georgia standout has hauled in 27 receptions for 332 yards and one touchdown. Nevertheless, he was a liability against the Vikings. He finished the game with just two catches for 12 yards and lost a key fumble late in the game. That kind of production will not help him in 2021, when he’s set to become a free agent.

player. 52. . . . Luq Barqoo, cornerback. 3

Cornerback Sidney Jones missed his third consecutive game of the season and with C.J. Henderson and D.J. Hayden on the Injury Reserve List, Luq Barcoo made his second start of the year. Although the undrafted rookie may turn into a fine player down the road, he was overwhelmed against Vikings wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Theilen.

The Vikings offense knew that whoever lined up against Barcoo would have a favorable matchup, and they tested him all game long with positive results.
