. K'Lavon Chaisson, defensive end. 1. player. 52. .

These rookies haven’t had the impact the Jacksonville Jaguars expected.

It seems like K’Lavon Chaisson always shows up on lists of Jaguars rookies that have underperformed, but the truth of the matter is that the first-year defensive end has struggled in 2020 and has had a hard time making an impact.

Against the Cleveland Browns, Chaisson only played on 33 percent of the team’s total snaps on defense and didn’t register any stats. The fact he can’t get more playing time even though defensive Josh Allen is out with a knee injury is telling.

2. player. 52. . . . Josiah Scott, cornerback

It’s not Josiah Scott’s fault he was rushed into action and allowed three receptions, 100 completion percentage against the Browns. The Jaguars are running out of healthy cornerback and had nobody else to turn to but the rookie.

The Michigan State product has had a hard time seeing playing time in 2020 and has performed poorly when he’s on the field. So far, he’s suited up for three games and has played on 30 defensive snaps. To make matters worse, fellow cornerback Luc Barcoo has outperformed him and is ahead of him on the depth chart.

Tyler Davis, tight end. 3. player. 52. . .

You could make the case Tyler Davis has been the Jaguars rookie that has had the least impact in 2020. He has dressed up for six games this season, but only saw snaps in four games and it was all minimal playing time.

Nevertheless, Davis hasn’t had a catch, and it’s unlikely things will change soon with Tyler Eifert, Ben Ellefson, and James O’Shaughnessy ahead of him on the depth chart.
