The Jacksonville Jaguars offense needs to wake up in Week 12.

Jake Luton’s first start as the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback in Week 10 was entertaining and even encouraging. In that game, the Oregon State standout was efficient and displayed his arm strength. For a week, he gave Jaguars hope better things could come their way, but then, the last two weeks happened.

Luton came crashing down and struggled against the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and showed why he was a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft. Heading into Week 12, the team’s brass decided to make a change at quarterback and Mike Glennon will get the starting nod against the Cleveland Browns.

Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden says Glennon is a veteran and has experience starting games, but if that were the case, why did the team only gave him playing time when they had to. If they knew the quarterback was going to fare well, why didn’t they start him instead of Luton?

Regardless of what the team did or didn’t do in previous games, Glennon will be the Jaguars starting quarterback Sunday, and it will be up to him to score more than the three points this Jacksonville team managed in Week 11.

Nobody knows how things will go, but Glennon will have a solid surrounding cast, so he could end up thriving against the Browns. For that to happen, these four Jaguars’ offensive players need to stand out in Week 12.
