These two players will make things difficult for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Denzel Ward has been an essential contributor in Cleveland’s secondary since the team made him the fourth overall pick in 2018’s players’ selection process. In 35 games with the Browns, the cornerback has registered 135 total tackles, 37 pass deflections, and seven interceptions.

The Jaguars wide receiver corps has failed to make an impact in recent weeks, and although the Browns’ back seven isn’t as deep and talented as the Steelers one, this won’t be an easy match. Wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. could suit up after missing the last two games, and his presence could be a boost to the Jaguars’ offense, but Ward is nothing to scoff at.

On the bright side, defensive end Myles Garret, who is leading the league in sacks with 9.5, will be out for the second consecutive week after testing positive for COVID-19. On the other hand, the Brown defensive front should be able to overcome Garret’s absence thanks to defensive end Olivier Vernon.

The nine-year veteran has registered 13 solo tackles, eight assists, and five sacks this season. The Jaguars offensive line has struggled in recent weeks and it will be imperative for the unit to set the tone at the line of scrimmage against the Browns front four.
