. . Alex Leatherwood, Alabama. 2. player. 829.

The two best tackles the Jacksonville Jaguars could draft in 2021.

Alex Leatherwood will be one of the best available left tackles in 2021’s draft. As recently as this past June, Pro Football Focus graded him as the second-best player at his position. In 2019, he played 440 pass-block snaps and only gave up ten total pressures, none of them were sacks.

Leatherwood isn’t going to blow anyone away with his pass blocking skills but makes up for it by being one of the most consistent left tackles the last two years. Although he needs to work on his body control, he has the physical tools to thrive in the NFL and will be one of the most coveted left tackles in next year’s players’ selection process.

820. . . . Penei Sewell, Oregon. 1. player

Penei was one of several players that decided to opt out of the 2020 season to prepare for the 2021 draft, and in all honesty, there was no reason for him to stay one more year with the Ducks since he was the best left tackle in college football last season and it already looks like he will be a top-five pick in next year’s players’ selection process.

The problem with the Jaguars drafting Sewell is that they would need to use the second overall pick on him and doing so will rob them of the opportunity to choose a highly-touted quarterback early in the prospect.
