The Jacksonville Jaguars use their second-round picks on defense.

It seems like the Jaguars have pulled the plug on the Josh Jones experiment at safety and they will now give rookie Daniel Thomas a chance to show what he can do on the field. Opposite of Thomas, Jarrod Wilson has been solid but nothing to write home about. Both safety spots are in need of an upgrade and Javen Holland could be it.

The former Ducks safety can play safety and cornerback and was the leader of their secondary. His versatility and intelligence will be an asset to the team that drafts him. He skipped the 2020 season and announced he would start preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Next. 4 players Jaguars could draft with 2021's 24th overall pick. dark

Joseph Ossai, outside linebacker. 45. player. 851. . .

Veteran Myles Jack has been one of the Jaguars’ few bright spots on defense in 2020 now that he’s back at his more natural weakside linebacker spot. Free-agent Joe Schobert has been solid in the middle but the Jaguars still need someone else to round up their linebacker corps, and that someone can be Joseph Ossai.

The Longhorn linebacker has the athletic and physical prowess to excel at linebacker and can make plays from different positions. This season, he’s registered 49 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Surprisingly, he’s still developing, so still haven’t seen what he’s fully capable of.
