4 Jacksonville Jaguars on defense to keep an eye on in Week 10
These two Jacksonville Jaguars defenders step up in Week 10.
Rookie cornerback C.J. Henderson has struggled recently and gave up 11 receptions for 202 yards. Although this is not the time to take out the torches nor the pitchforks, how the Florida standout performs against the Packers it’s worth monitoring.
In Henderson’s defense, he’s just allowed three touchdown passes. No NFL has a flawless record and everyone has bad games. The first-year cornerback needs to show he can rebound nicely and put his past mistakes behind. It won’t be easy against quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but that’s what the Jaguars first-round selection will have to do on Sunday.
We are fully aware edge defender Josh Allen hasn’t been healthy in 2020. He’s been dealing with a knee injury that has hindered his performance and hasn’t let him play like the Pro Bowler he was in 2019. This season, the Kentucky standout has registered 11 total tackles and 2.5 sacks, a steep drop from the 44 tackles and 10.5 sacks he had in 2019.
On the bright side, Allen is feeling better and it wouldn’t be surprising to play at a high level at Lambeau Field. The Jaguars defense is at the bottom of the league with eight sacks, and lack any pass rushers besides the sophomore edge defender.
