P.J. Hall #96 (Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports) /

. . P.J. Hall, defensive tackle. 4. player. 10.

These Texans defenders will try to stop the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense.

P.J. Hall joined the Texans this offseason after an uneventful tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders. The former second-round pick failed to distinguish himself in his tenure with the ‘Silver and Black’ and arrived at training camp out of shape. The team’s brass decided they have had enough of the Sam Houston State product and waved him after a trade with the Minnesota Vikings fell apart.

The Texans then signed Hall and the defensive tackle has had a bit of a career resurgence since then. So far, he has played in all seven games this year and has started six of them. He has registered 30 tackles, two of those for a loss, and one sack.

3. player. 10. . . . Zach Cunningham, linebacker

Zach Cunningham was the target of trade talks before the November 3 deadline. In the end, the linebacker stayed put and will take the field in Week 9 against the Jaguars.  Looking back, it was going to be difficult to move the Vanderbilt standout as teams didn’t want to take on his robust contract, a four-year $58 million deal he signed before the 2020 season started.

Cunningham has started all games this season and has registered 44 solo tackles and two sacks. He will be key to stopping Jaguars’ running game and their short-passing game.
