The Jacksonville Jaguars have secured two starting spots on defense.

Defensive tackle Da’Von Hamilton had the best game of his young career against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8. The rookie was all over the field and had eight total tackles, (four solo, and four assists) on 55 defensive snaps.

Hamilton has recorded 23 total tackles, four of them for a loss, in seven games. While he is still chasing his first sack, the ‘Jags’ should eager to see him have the same kind of impact he had versus the ‘Bolts’ every game for the rest of the season.

52. . . . C.J. Henderson, cornerback. 1. player

Heading into 2020’s draft, the Jaguar held two first-round picks. They used their first one, the ninth overall selection, on cornerback C.J. Henderson. The rookie has started all but one game this season and has been solid for the most part. Before the ‘Jags’ game against the Chargers, he had allowed just 198 receiving yards on 18 receptions, solid numbers considering he hasn’t received much help from the team.

Although he gave up 103 yards against the Bolts, Henderson didn’t surrender a touchdown so there was a silver lining. It hasn’t been perfect, but the Jags should feel comfortable about the Florida standout keeping one of their cornerback spots for the foreseeable future.
