Not Getting More Offensive Line Help

There is still a chance the Jacksonville Jaguars help their cause. Guard Larry Warford is still out there in free agency and would be a huge boost to the offensive line, especially on the right side.

Jacksonville re-signed Tyler Shatley in free agency and drafted Ben Bratch in the fourth round in April. That doesn’t scream excitement of change by any means.

What it does tell is the coaching staff has higher hopes for Cam Robinson than most of us do and they think Bratch will become a starter in a year. The decision to move Will Richardson back to left tackle means Robinson is on notice. Second-year right tackle Jawaan Taylor must take another step forward this year.

There were offensive linemen out there who could have helped this team in free agency and Jacksonville could have spent on of their first-round picks on a tackle. I’m curious how this all plays out. As a former offensive line coach, Marrone must know what he is doing. If not, this could be a very long season for Minshew.

The Jaguars could still add offensive line help once players are released during camp and after the preseason.
