Taven Bryan

There are many Jaguars fans out there who continue to wonder what the brain trust was thinking when they made Taven Bryan the 29th pick in the first round in 2018. Frankly, some of us local media members are thinking the same thing.

Last preseason, Bryan was pushed by Datone Jones, who honestly earned a right to be on the roster, but was one of the first cuts before the start of the season. Bryan didn’t improve as many within the organization hopes he would and now that veterans have been cut from the roster and new players have been added in free agency, does the light finally go on for Bryan, who is entering his third season in the NFL?

Add DaVon Hamilton to the rotation, who is a nose tackle, and then talk about the team using more of a 3-4 defense this season and Bryan’s days could be numbered in North Florida.
