The Jaguars Fail to Take a Wide Receiver

I have been saying this for a while. It will not surprise me if the Jacksonville Jaguars refrain from drafting a wide receiver in the early rounds or not at all.

The wide receiver situation on the team isn’t as bad as many think. DJ Chark is a budding star. Chris Conley is a dependable veteran. Dede Westbrook, as long as he can stay healthy, it is a good slot receiver. And when called upon, Keelan Cole can provide some highlight moments.

What the Jaguars lack is a dependable tight end. Now that they have signed Tyler Eifert to a contract and will have James O’Shaughnessy and Josh Oliver coming back, maybe this receiving unit will show everybody how good it can be.

It would not surprise me if the front office doesn’t pull the trigger on bringing in a pass catcher until the fourth or fifth round next week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars select C.J. Henderson. dark. Next
