The New York Jets win the Yannick Ngakoue Sweepstakes

Yes, the New York Jets come from the ashes to hurdle over several other teams to make a deal that involves the Jaguars’ unhappy pass rusher. Yannick Ngakoue has wanted out of Jacksonville since the team did not offer him a long-term deal last offseason.

There has been plenty of speculation about which team will make the right deal for the 25-year-old’s services. As Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report wrote, the Jets make a lot of sense despite other teams that could be more attractive by the former Maryland star,

"“Gang Green hasn’t exactly been winning lately, but there’s plenty of talent on both sides of the ball because they haven’t shied away from blockbuster deals in recent offseasons,” he added. It wouldn’t be surprising if they made another one for Ngakoue.”"

The Jaguars are rumored to want a deal similar to the one they got for Jalen Ramsey last season from the Los Angeles Rams. There would need to be at least one first-round draft pick attached to this trade.
