How does Gardner Minshew change the Jaguars approach to the Draft?

Will the Jaguars Move Nick Foles?

While his cap hit is going to be insane, it is highly likely the Jaguars will not be able to get rid of Foles. He has a very big contract that right now would cost the Jaguars more than $34 million if they released him.

Honestly, many teams are set at their quarterback position or are looking to draft one this year. The only way I see the Jaguars getting rid of this contract is if Foles is traded along with a pick to another team, much like the Texans did with Brock Osweiler.

However, the positive is that Foles is still more than likely the best backup quarterback in the league and if Minshew does in fact struggle next season, the veteran Foles is a very serviceable player who can help the team win some games and stay competitive.

Then again, there could be a real debate over who starts next season. It’s one of the better problems to have in the NFL. Luckily, it could be Jacksonville facing that very issue.
