Jon Kitna Brought in as the Jaguars new Quarterbacks Coach

Marrone should have his eyes focused on the situation in Dallas as the dismantling of the coaching now that Jason Garrett has been fired and Mike McCarthy hired means there will be many solid assistants looking for work. Jon Kitna could be on the team’s radar.

The Jaguars announced prior to the end of the season, Scott Milanovich, the team’s quarterback coach, has accepted the head coaching job with the Edmonton Eskimos. There could be other coaching positions open after next week, but for now, the only job we know of being open is this one.

Kitna has been instrumental in the development of Dak Prescott this past season. If the Cowboys make more changes to their coaching staff it is conceivable there will be other teams looking to add him to their staff.

"“Kitna was only in his role for the 2019 season, but he helped lead fourth-year quarterback Dak Prescott to the most productive year of his career,” writes John Shipley of SI.com. “Prescott threw for over 4,900 yards and, for the first time in his career, threw 30 touchdown passes. Kitna did a terrific job with the ascending passer, showing he could potentially do similar with Jacksonville’s own young quarterback.”"
