Yannick Ngakoue – Defensive End

The first player to watch is defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. His numbers are very good but they don’t tell the whole story of just how important Ngakoue is to this team.

His work ethic, motor, and leadership are things that can be passed on throughout the locker room. Following a loss to the Panthers in week 5 defensive coordinator Todd Wash had this to say about his star player.

"As soon as the game was over, I texted him right away. Because he comes to work every day. He’s passionate about what he does. He’s very good at what he does, so it’s good to see him have some individual success last Sunday with two sacks."

If Yannick plays well, it will continue to show the front office it should give him the contract he rightfully deserves. Regardless of his play this week Yannick is a very solid building block for this defense and the front office should give him a nice long term contract. The Colts have a solid offensive line, but look for Ngakoue to get at least one sack this week.
