Blake Bortles fires back at Jadeveon Clowney’s “trash” comment
By Billy Long
Blake Bortles‘ current domination of opponents no longer limited to on the field.
The Jacksonville Jaguars rolled through the Houston Texans for the second time this season on Sunday, in a 45-7 shellacking. In the game, like he has done all December long, Blake Bortles had another magnificent performance.
But after getting throttled by Bortles and the Jaguars not once, but twice, Houston’s Jadeveon Clowney couldn’t just take the L and be humble, instead opting in a postgame interview to call Bortles “trash”.

Calling a player trash after he drops over 300 yards and three touchdowns on you was foolish in itself, but Clowney set himself up to get beat by Bortles twice in a single week.
In a weekly meeting with the media on Wednesday, Bortles responded to the comment, and much like his play on the field of late, threw some heat. Two losses against Bortles this season were apparently not enough, as Clowney decided to take a third for good measure.
Whew, Bortles continues to fire daggers.
Next: Bortles is playing well, and making people mad
Not only is Bortles producing incredible results on the field, the quarterback has decided to notch some victories off of it as well. Bortles is thriving right now, and beginning to believe in himself. The confidence is showing, and that should worry opponents.
Jadeveon Clowney could have taken the loss and moved on. But he decided to show some salt and display hurt feelings, and Blake Bortles dunked on him for the third time this season.
If 10-4 and a playoff berth is trash, then sign me up for a big pile of garbage the rest of the season.
