2. T.J. Lang, pending Green Bay Packers free agent guard

The Jacksonville Jaguars need help at guard and T.J. Lang may be the perfect solution. The 29-year old’s extensive experience across the offensive line is incredibly valuable and reflects the kind of versatility that the Jags need along the offensive line.

Starting as a tackle, Lang has developed into one of the better guards in the NFL. Pro Football Focus grades him out as the eighth best guard for the 2016 season. He is consistent and durable, only missing five games starting in the 2011 season (three were in 2016, however).

That durability, consistency, and flexibility will make Lang a well-payed man in 2017. In the prime of his career with eight seasons under his belt, Lang could vie with Kevin Zeitler to be the highest priced guard in free agency. Spotrac currently estimates his market value at $8.4 million per year.

If the Jaguars get serious about fixing the offensive line, they will need a player like Lang. Lang’s ability to be a consistent, driving force for a team has paid dividends for the Green Bay Packers and could also deliver big gains for whoever brings him on in 2017. The Packers have seemingly made the decision to let Lang hit free agency, so he should be available for the Jags to try to bring down to Jacksonville.
