PREDICTION: Allen Hurns will have a touchdown: FACT
Result: FACT
Coming out of halftime, this was still a close game and the Jaguars had done nothing of note on offense. Bortles was coming off his worst half of football maybe ever and the entire offense looked out of rhythm.
Then Bortles rolled out and threw an absolute dart to Allen Hurns who did the rest of the work.
I’ve heard some critics of Bortles saying it was a poor decision and he got lucky, but that’s absolutely asinine. If Aaron Rodgers makes that throw, everyone is commenting on how terrific a throw it was for him to thread the needle between the corner and safety.
It was a ballsy throw that very few quarterbacks in the NFL can make and we have one of them.
And that Hurns guy isn’t too bad either.
