Allen Robinson, wide receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen Robinson was in for a tough day facing the best cover cornerback in all of football: Darrelle Revis.
That didn’t seem to slow him down, though. Robinson kept his breakout year going with six receptions for 121 yards and all kinds of big plays. He didn’t get in the end zone, but when you can punish a defense as good as the New York Jets’ with big gains like a 44-yarder, you know you’re doing something right.
Robinson is credited with a drop by Pro Football Focus, but he was able to produce consistently for the Jags and he was beating some incredibly tight coverage throughout the day.
You know you’ve done a good job when the best cover corner in football wants to exchange jerseys.
While not his most dominating performance and while other receivers for the Jaguars may come away with scores (Allen Hurns and Bryan Walters), Robinson deserves to be commended for the quality work he has put on the field.
Next: Mistakes continue to mar the Jaguars
This week was just a continuation of some impressive work through the 2015 season.
