Dante Fowler Buys Into His Own Hype, Expects to be Third Overall Selection

Dante Fowler Jr. is buying into his own hype and would be ‘stunned’ if he wasn’t taken third overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Fowler is an excellent fit for Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley’s defense. He put up some impressive NFL Scouting Combine numbers and he has quality production through his collegiate career at Florida. And it seems like he may be comfortable with the Jaguars already, assuming a first name basis with Bradley already.

"I’d be stunned, just because of the scheme that coach Gus has. – Dante Fowler Jr."

Fowler would be a great addition to the Jaguars, but he’s got to beat out a host of other quality pass rushers and players at other positions in order to be taken third overall. He’s considered a front runner, however, and most every 2015 NFL Mock Draft has him slated to come to the Jaguars. In fact, it seems like the Jaguars may be locked into him at third overall.

It would be stunning to see them pick someone else, honestly.

While I like Vic Beasley a lot and I think Leonard Williams is the best player in the draft, Dante Fowler is a powerful player who would be an excellent fit for the Jaguars. He was almost instantly mocked to the Jaguars following his impressive combine performance.

That’s because Fowler is right, he is a perfect fit for Bradley’s scheme at the LEO position. He is athletic enough to perform various duties as a pass rusher and could probably be in on non pass rushing downs as well.

Would you be stunned if Dante Fowler wasn’t brought to the Jaguars third overall on April 30th?
