Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Miami Dolphins: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams

More from Jacksonville Jaguars News

The Jacksonville Jaguars enter Sunday’s game with quite a bit of pressure to avoid a loss. It’s silly to call any week 2 game a “must win” but that might be the case for the Jaguars against the Miami Dolphins. After bumbling through a 20-9 opening day loss at home to the Carolina Panthers, the Jaguars pack their bags and head out onto the road for 3 straight weeks after Sunday’s game.

There is some immediate familiarity with the two squads, as the Dolphins were in Jacksonville last October. Blake Bortles probably doesn’t want to remember that contest (or the two pick 6’s he threw), but it’s probably worthwhile for him to watch that tape as both teams are largely the same. The one big difference for the Dolphins on defense is the addition of all-word defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

Held in check for the most part last week against the Washington Redskins, Suh is looking to breakout for the first time as a Dolphin against a shaky interior offensive line. Brandon Linder, Stefen Wisniewski, and Zane Beadles are going to have their hands full. The same goes for the two tackles as they have to protect Bortles from two premier pass rushers in Olivier Vernon and Cameron Wake.

The Jaguars are hoping to keep this a low-scoring affair by containing the less-than-intimidating Ryan Tannehill. While he does have a nice set of weapons around him, the Jaguars were able to keep Tannehill in check in last year’s matchup.
