After several days of uncertainty, the Jacksonville Jaguars now know that they'll keep both of their coordinators for at least another season. Grant Udinski and Anthony Campanile were candidates for head-coaching openings in this hiring cycle, but both are returning in 2026.

On top of that, the Jags made additions to their coaching staff that should improve their overall performance next season. More specifically, they brought in Brian Picucci as their run game coordinator and hired Mathieu Araujo as their defensive backs coach after dismissing Ron Milus.

Having the band back together for at least another season will be huge, as Jacksonville will be able to build off its 2025 success. It will also benefit Trevor Lawrence massively.

The Jaguars will keep the same offensive staff for the firs time in Trevor Lawrence's career

Throughout most of his career, Trevor Lawrence lacked continuity, as the Jaguars kept shuffling their offensive staff. That will change in 2026.

As Twitter user COACHRIPLEY1 pointed out, this is the first time in Trevor Lawrence's career that the whole offensive staff from the prior season will return intact. In his rookie campaign, he had Urban Meyer, who was fired less than a year after being hired. Then, Doug Pederson took over in 2022.

While Pederson kept most of his staff intact in 2023, he did move on from wide receivers coach Chris Jackson and replaced him with Chad Hall, who previously held the same position with the Buffalo Bills. The following year, running backs coach Bernie Parnalee was dismissed, and Jerry Mack filled the opening.

Of course, the Jaguars cleaned house after 2024 and hired Liam Coen to be head coach. He then brougth in Grant Udinski as the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach Spencer Whipple, and pass game coordinator Shane Waldron, just to name a few. All of them will be back next season, along with Picucci.

The Jaguars will help Trevor Lawrence pick up where he left off

As impressive as the Jaguars were in 2025, it was a learning experience for both the coaching staff and players. Liam Coen was learning the nuances of leading a team, as he was a first-time head coach. Similarly, Grant Udinski and Anthony Campanile held their positions for the first time in their respective careers.

Trevor Lawrence, on the other hand, got a coach who pushed him to give his all. It paid off, even if the early results weren't great. Because as good as No. 16 looked at the end of the year, it's easy to forget that he dealt with a learning curve early in the season.

Aside from tweaking his footwork, Lawrence also had to get acclimated to Coen's scheme, the most complex he had been in his career. If that wasn't enough, he ditched the wristband in order to process the plays mentally. The early results weren't great, but the former Clemson Tiger showed progress down the stretch and ended up playing like a top-10 quarterback.

With all his coaches back in place, Trevor Lawrence should have no trouble building off his exciting 2025. That, in turn, will help the Jaguars make another playoff push.
