The Jacksonville Jaguars had some really nice weapons helping out Trevor Lawrence in 2022. They didn't come back and make the playoffs after starting 2-6 by getting lucky. Their defense was mid but their offense scored lots of points.

Guys like Travis Etienne (RB), Christian Kirk (WR), and Evan Engram (TE) amongst others were all outstanding. Well, 2023 could be a year in which a new addition comes in and helps all of those guys elevate the offense.

Calvin Ridley was suspended in 2022 as a member of the Atlanta Falcons because of some gambling mishaps that included betting on NFL games that he was participating in.

While suspended, the Falcons traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars as Trent Baalke was taking a big chance. We didn't know at the time of the trade when the league would allow him to come back. All we knew was that he was done through 2022 at a minimum and wouldn't help them that year.

Calvin Ridley will be helping the Jacksonville Jaguars win big in 2023.

Well, the league reinstated him following the Super Bowl and he is back. From what we've seen in OTAs so far, there is no reason to think that he can get back to being a legit superstar in 2023.

This is a guy that was a first-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons for a reason following some amazing moments at Alabama. He is wildly talented.

He has also never played in the NFL with a guy like Trevor Lawrence which should help him improve his game as well. If he hits the ground running after a whole year off, he will transform the Jaguars' offense even more than it has been in the last two years.

Lawrence's development (he could take another huge step in 2023) into an elite player helped them last year and Ridley can help him take it to the next level. It should be very fun to watch as the Jaguars have the Super Bowl on their mind now.

You don't make a trade like this unless you plan on being a winning organization and things have been working out well for them since the deal was made. Now, it is time to win.
