This is the most underrated move the Jaguars have made this off-season
The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a good off-season. They are coming off a very successful year in 2022-23 that saw them win a division title and a playoff game.
The off-season was all about doing what they can to get even better going into the 2023-24 season. They are getting close to the point where they have to just start shooting for the Super Bowl.
The offense was always going to be very talented which is the key to this team's success. However, they will go nowhere if their defense improves a little bit.
It is probable that they will improve at least a little bit which could be the difference for them this year. It should be fun to watch the progression.
The Jaguars are a team that has high hopes for this upcoming season.
There have been a lot of moves made this off-season but there is one that sticks out as one that could really help them.
Travis Etienne was an outstanding running back last season. It was a breakout year for him. However, it is always nice when a good running back has a partner.
With the 88th overall pick (third round), the Jaguars selected Tank Bigsby out of Auburn. That was a great decision made by them.
On the depth chart, he will certainly be ahead of JaMycal Hasty on the depth chart but he won't be ahead of Etienne.
The reason that this is a big move is the fact that running backs can go down easily. They can also help each other if everyone does contribute. Having a guy like Bigsby on the team means that they are going to have a really good offense.
Two solid running backs to go with receivers like Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and Zay Jones along with a tight end like Evan Engram will make them dangerous. Trevor Lawrence should have tons of help all over the field.
Again, if this defense can even come close to matching the offense, they can certainly be a threat all season long.
